tony75 Posted October 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 7, 2019 Hello (2) WW2 Blood Chits for Review • What are your thoughts on these Blood Chits• I know these Blood Chits are a mine field• I have zero experience when it comes to BCs• Looking around the forum, many things to learn about BCs• Both seem to be multiple piece construction• Nothing glows under a black light ( if that means anything anymore)• The BC with full writing measures about 7.5x11 inches• The 2nd BC with less writing measures about 9x11 inches

bobgee Posted October 7, 2019 Share #12 Posted October 7, 2019 Sorry - there is nothing right about either of these two "chits".. Bobgee
manayunkman Posted October 7, 2019 Share #13 Posted October 7, 2019 The construction is completely wrong.
Survival Posted October 8, 2019 Share #14 Posted October 8, 2019 I would really like to see the top one translated. I have never seen a real or repo example that looks like that one before. Looks like the Chinese alphabet...
PacificGunner Posted October 8, 2019 Share #15 Posted October 8, 2019 I agree, the construction does not look right to me, I have never seen a cloth blood chit with that kind of stitching around the flag. In my opinion they are poor reproductions
VB21 Posted October 15, 2019 Share #16 Posted October 15, 2019 I have a nearly identical chit that has all of the characters. I have a friend who speaks Chinese. He has translated it for me: "I am an American soldier assisting the Chinese, if something happens to me or if I am injured, please provide assistance and notify the closest Chinese and American troops". I received this chit with other items in a group of an American sailor who was stationed in China as a part of SACO in 1944-1945.

The ones that started this thread are very newly made.
