easterneagle87 Posted October 3, 2019 Share #1 Posted October 3, 2019 Out visiting my parents and hit a local antique store run by a gal I knew in high school. Picked up this Arizona Highways magazine, May 1947, to take a look. When I opened thje front cover, it immediately went into the, "this is going home with me" stack. A FANTASTIC! color picture of B-17's out in a boneyard at the War Assets Corporation Storage Depot near Kingman AZ. All those proud Fortresses just waiting to become Airstream trailers for the baby boomer generation. I am just going to fold it over and stick it in a frame, so the magazine stays intact with the story. A pretty good information article with other smaller black and white photos of nose art and a couple of B-24's.
