Case of MREs any idea of year of mfg

Friend of mine found a case of MREs in the basement of his new house. the following is on the out side of the case.

2012 contract.

 

most likely still good (depending on how hot they got) cheese has probably separated and the candy will probably have a horrible after taste. if any of the packets are swollen don't eat them.

 

price depends on your area, around most large installations and bases $15 - $25 a case and can get lower. out in the middle of nowhere I have seen them bring $100. $40 - $60 is about average nation wide.

 

I am not an expert, just a guy that has eaten a lot of MRE's. munch at your own risk

Guys here try to sell current MREs for $7-$12 a meal....I have seen them as low as $2-$3
