wildcat123 Posted September 23, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 23, 2019 Been collecting for most of my life and never owned one of these. This one came up at an auction and paid too much, but oh well. Now I have one. Zipper is shot and it’s worn, but it has character. It is named to a Sanborn with laundry mark of S4248. I think I’ve figured out... Harold M Sanborn, Jr. of Florida (born in New York) - 34404248. Did every Google trick I know and have been unable to find a tie to him to the Tank Destroyers.... maybe someone can help? Enjoy the pics. Thx. wildcat123 Posted September 23, 2019 Author Share #9 Posted September 23, 2019 Theres a Harold M Sanborn, Jr. 1912-2002 buried in Florida. This matches the NARA entry where I got the serial number (birth year and Florida connection).... assuming that is the right guy.

Dogsbody Posted September 23, 2019 Share #12 Posted September 23, 2019 Nice jacket! I like M41's. I wouldn't keep it too long on that wire hanger but would look for something that gives it more support. Rene
