88thcollector Posted September 23, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted September 23, 2019 Yes it is named. I have shelves and mounts full of his other stuff. This was just found in a safe. I was hoping someone would tell me about the pin.
Bill Scott Posted September 23, 2019 Share #11 Posted September 23, 2019 It looks like jewelry to me like a women's broach that's my story and i'm sticking to it.Scotty

88thcollector Posted September 24, 2019 Author Share #15 Posted September 24, 2019 I agree that the pin is jewelry. Odd that it was included in the group.
CDWells Posted September 24, 2019 Share #16 Posted September 24, 2019 Could the pin have been something of a reverse sweetheart piece? Maybe a gift from a relative or lady friend to remind him of them? Maybe something meant as a joke from his buddies, say for a training mishap? If he kept it all through the war, keeping it with those keepsakes would have made sense. It maybe isn't something to display, but I'd keep it anyway. There's probably a reason it's together. A part of the story that refuses to tell.
