Eugene W Vance 307th A/B Medical Co. /Gliders

Recommended Posts

Bought this at the ASMIC convention. Got it from a dealer that knew this man, and spent time talking with prior to his death. He told the dealer he was on a glider on D-Day, and I believe would had been on Market Garden due to the Dutch cord in the group. Unfortunately all his records were destroyed, and the only thing available was a pay voucher , according to Matt , (2ndInf.Div.). He never married or had kids. Couldn't find much on line for him, other then his name attached to the 307th. Very happy with the group, but would like to know more of this man, he worked for Safeway, and lived in Shoreline, WA.

Many thanks to aznation for digging up more on this man. The memorial appears to made up by himself, so this confirms what I was told, that he was at Normandy on D-Day.
