Davis shortly after the squadron was formed at NAS Quonset Point, Rhode Island. Ens. Davis and his crew were lost at sea while flying a night training mission in the Atlantic.Carrier Air Group (Night) Ninety One deployed aboard Bon Homme Richard from 22 May 45 To 30 Sept. 45 with two squadrons: VF(N)-91 and VT(N)-91.
