SKIPH Posted September 15, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 15, 2019 Hey Gang! Just stumbled on this ebay ad for a blade marked Imperial M3. Ebay item # 382554868778. Handle is missing leather washers, and those remaining look rough, and dried out. The M8 scabbard looks like someone spilled battery acid on it, very corroded, probably damp exposure. Blade itself has something on it, but does look like original finish. The seller states, like a demand,"I won't sell it for less than $200!". At a glance, I suspect he will have some trouble getting that for it. Checked other items, none for sale. I do not know the seller. I doubt he'll get the $200. I just don't understand how he can demand/ask that much, based on all the decent ones on ebay. If anyone can post this it would be appreciated. Anyway, it's his item, he can ask what he wants. Just a topic for discussion. SKIP
Ant1942 Posted September 15, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 15, 2019 Unfortunately because M3s are collectible and desirable depending on some factors, it sucks that sellers sometimes won’t budge on them even if they are in crappy condition. Doesn’t surprise me too much which again just sucks
John4022 Posted September 15, 2019 Share #3 Posted September 15, 2019 LOL, he has it listed as a Buy It Now at $201 & the best offer function is enabled. At least hes willing to shave a whole dollar off this beauty

sactroop Posted September 23, 2019 Share #5 Posted September 23, 2019 What something is worth is what the buyer and seller agree too. Sometime those two don't find each other.

themick Posted September 27, 2019 Share #7 Posted September 27, 2019 I honestly don'e know why a collector would want to soil their collection with that. Steve
barryeye Posted September 27, 2019 Share #8 Posted September 27, 2019 Worth salvaging but only at the right price. I've always had a soft spot for the runt of the litter.
dunit35 Posted October 3, 2019 Share #9 Posted October 3, 2019 I think that has been listed for months now. Saw it listed back in the spring because I remember the demand he was making then.
