331st DUIs Need Opinions

Recommended Posts

These DUIs are currently on ebay, and I would appreciate any comments about them. I have not seen a backing like the ones on these, and the blue field appears a bit green. Has anyone else come across any like these before?

BTW I am looking for a couple of wartime period 331st Infantry Regiment DUIs . But any advice regarding these two is very welcome.

thanks

I agree that they look fine, from the picture they appear painted maybe they are theater made? Just a guess going off the construction which does not seem like any US made screw backs I have seen. If that's true then it might explain the color if the paint has faded over time or dried weird to produce more of a green color.

The nuts on those almost look like USMC EG&A retaining nuts. I also believe these to be theater made during the WWII era.
