JakeBird6684 Posted September 10, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 10, 2019 Hey all, Got this 9th airforce ike recently and only has a laundry number and where i bought it from. I think I have the veteran's name as Orville F Parlett, but I'm not 100% sure. I got the jacket out of heartland Iowa. Maybe someone can help me. The Laundry number is P-6731

aznation Posted January 26, 2020 Share #16 Posted January 26, 2020 Aznation, can you tell in which BG or FG he was in? Sorry, but after doing some more searching I couldn't find any information on what specific unit he was in. The uniform does have a designated unit identification (DUI) on the collar of the USAAF Technical Training Command whose motto at the bottom reads "Sustineo Alas". Also, the uniform also indicates that whatever unit he was in received the Presidential Unit Citation which is represented by the gold wreath at the bottom of the right sleeve.
