Hello everyone,

I just need your help to know more about this pathfinder patch. It was removed from an uniform and put in an album

Looks like ww2? It's a US made fabrication for me, not british. I cant put another picture unfortunatly

The wing is undoubtedly post WWII manufacture and the fact that it is fully embroidered is also rather unusual as these were normally embroidered on black twill in the 1950's and 1960's. To me, this one looks Japanese made, and could even date to the Vietnam period. The fact that it has been sewn to an OD wool shirt is a real head-scratcher as I don't believe that this piece would have been worn while the OD wool shirt was still prescribed for wear.

I guess that if it is olive drab twill then it must have been worn on a Boy Scout uniform. My personal feeling is that someone was trying to make this very post WWII patch appear to be a WWII piece.

I knew I seen that color somewhere, the boy scout green. Like mentioned above I only seen the emb on twill ones. Never a emb one.
