I'm curious about something. Why, when people post photographs of weapons do they frequently obscure part of the serial number? It's done so often that there must be a reason for it.

Hmmm... so people are concerned that someone might say that the gun is actually their property and start a claim or theft dispute. Then of course it would come down to receipts, transfer papers, Etc. Interesting. Thank you, for the replies.

If someone accuses you of weapons theft your first need is a good criminal defense attorney - even if it's a bogus claim. Even with all the proper paperwork it can cost you a bundle to clear yourself.
