KurtA Posted September 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted September 7, 2019 Picked this up at the flea market this morning. Full size hallmarked LGB and 10K. Much heavier than the standard sterling 1/20th 10K plated WW2 USN wing and the reverse is a bright mirror-like gold finish.
Blacksmith Posted September 7, 2019 Share #2 Posted September 7, 2019 That is a beauty - I like the detail on the Balfours.

B-17Guy Posted September 9, 2019 Share #5 Posted September 9, 2019 Very nice find Kurt. The 10k Balfour Aviator wing badges are rather uncommon, cool to find one at a flea market. The ones that I have seen are generally engraved with a sentiment on the back. I have two in my collection, both engravings dated late WWII. Very nice WWII era wing!
