Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I would like to share some photos of this nice harness used by a member of the 8th Air Force with you. It's a nice RAF observer type with tipycal AF modification and yellow group marking :

WIll,

What a fantastic piece of RAF/ AAF history! It is exactly as you described having been modified with yellow group markings. I'm sure that the crewman who wore this was the envy of his peers as he was able to get into and out of that harness quickly.

Thank you for sharing this with us.

Awesome Observer assembly. Based on the adjustment that looks like a rather small crewmen! The ones with the May 1944 TO modification painting are always the most interesting. Any idea which unit this was issued to?
