kklinejr Posted August 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 30, 2019 This brass ash tray / plate was found in the footlocker of a man who served in the Med during WWII. I am not thinking it is a period bringback as it looks like a 1950s tourist piece. Does anyone know this piece at all? Thank you in advance. I am actively seeking USMC Named Good Conduct Medals and items pertaining to the USS Indianapolis CA35.
bbmilitaria Posted August 30, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 30, 2019 Most likely purchased at a local bazaar in North Africa before he went to Italy. I have one that came from an AAF tech rep. Please visit my website at http://www.bbmilitaria.com for a wide selection of quality military antiques!
