albatrosdva Posted August 28, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 28, 2019 Is there anything that can be done for this or once the damage is done, leave it alone? I ask because I work with the local historical society where the original owner was from and I'd like it to be presentable for display. The sun damage on top stands out and I'd like to be able to soften the effect some.
doyler Posted August 28, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 28, 2019 Dont know of any reversal technics short of re dying it and would just leave it as is. Stabilize it possibly by keeping it out of the sun or direct bright lighht etc.
Doodlebewi Posted August 28, 2019 Share #3 Posted August 28, 2019 I've found with sun spots nothing can be done. Besides using a fabric marker to color in very tiny spots on clothing. But never on wool only on thiner fabrics like rayon or 100% cotton.
