I am so thrilled to have gotten the majority of the WWI ephemera of Carrie Buhrman (later Nettleton). She lived locally in Covington VA after she married C B Nettleton in 1921. She graduated from Randolph-Macon Women's College (class of 1910) and Randolph-Macon sponsored her service. Comes with a couple pictures (I missed out on other pictures but they went way too high), lots of overseas paper, two uniforms with an extra skirt, her hat patch, couple souvenir picture frames made from an airplane propeller. Neat set. I also picked up her daughter's WWII ARC items but that's good for another post.

More details of uniform insignia or lack thereof (missing third army patch and US in triangle patch on one uniform. Not sure if there would be a second YMCA triangle pin on the other or a US officer style collar pin?)

Souvenir picture frames, larger patch from her hat, photo of YMCA women (unknown if she is in the photo or if these are just friends)

Niice grouping. So glad it was saved. I have hundreds of letters/ documents and photos from a WWI ARC Canteen worker but sadly no uniform.

Thanks for sharing.

Wonderful set, Rare WW1 Grouping. Memorabilia of these WW1 non-combatant volunteers are some of the most sacred of great war militaria in my opinion. Cherish it.

It looks much happier after the addition of an original patch. Now if I can only find the missing collar triangle.
