rocknrobbie Posted August 22, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2019 Hey guys I have been a member of this group but it has been a long time since I had interacted within the forum, anyway I am a life long military collector I have a wide range of interests and items in my collection, I need a little help with a pair of WWII USN Aviators wings please see the photos can anyone please tell me what the base mettle is made of? Balfour is a jewelry company I would assume that they are silver since they are stamped 1/20 10k GF meaning Gold Filled but it doesn't say anywhere on the item if they are silver base or not any input would be a great help. Thank you in advance Rob
The Rooster Posted August 22, 2019 Share #2 Posted August 22, 2019 Greetings. I'm pretty sure its sterling silver. Balfour / LGB made a nice Navy wing !
