5thwingmarty Posted August 19, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 19, 2019 It took me a while to figure out what this plane was. I thought I would test the knowledge of our old airplane experts with a couple of photos:

5thwingmarty Posted August 19, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted August 19, 2019 Not a DH 4. Not designed or built by De Havilland either. Here is one more view.

Lee Ragan Posted August 19, 2019 Share #7 Posted August 19, 2019 It's a Packard-Le Pere LUSAC-11. Ref. page 8 of " U.S. Army Aircraft 1908-1946", by Fahey.

5thwingmarty Posted August 19, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted August 19, 2019 Yes Lee is. There is a color photo of the last known example which is in the AF museum in Dayton on the museum's website. I am curious if they all had this camo paint job or just the few that were photographed. The one in the museum looks to have a three color upper surface camo scheme with none of the colors looking to be a light as what they look in the B&W photos.
