KingsMountainTigers Posted August 18, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 18, 2019 I've had this bracelet for a while now and decided to post it on the forum. I consider this bracelet to be the most historical item in my collection. It belonged to PFC Jack Seay Blankenhorn who was killed in action at Iwo Jima on March 3rd. I've spent days researching this soldier and was able to find his obituary and casualty report. I also found an account of his regiment on the date of his casualty. He was first listed as MIA but fortunately his remains were found and sent back to his family. I'm saving up money to have it researched by Golden Arrow Research. The bracelet is missing its clasp, as well as a few links of the chain. It shows heavy use, which is what I really love about it. Below is his service history:

Simon Lerenfort Posted August 19, 2019 Share #6 Posted August 19, 2019 Thanks for posting. Such powerful emotive items. Good that you can tell his story and keep his sacrifice alive.
