Glider-borne Posted August 7, 2019 Share #1 Posted August 7, 2019 Hi , For our future exhibits around our glider or parts of our glider Waco CG-4A, we start collection of glider pilot equipment. Of course Glider wings badges are present. Like for our project, we enjoy more to have a poor condition item with an history than an New Old Stock. After war made or copies are interesting if they tell an story too. Mr.Jerry Posted August 7, 2019 Share #11 Posted August 7, 2019 That is very cool - some great wings not often encountered. (As a side note, what kind of putty is that use to hold them?)
Glider-borne Posted August 7, 2019 Author Share #12 Posted August 7, 2019 Thanks for all your messages, with Gliderborne we try to share histories more as possible of Glider pilots. Take nice pictures of some items is the first step of our virtual museum before do a real museum. (maybe in many many years but it’s the aim). (As a side note, what kind of putty is that use to hold them?) If I understood correctly, I use Patafix Glue Pads Sticks for hold them.

rathbonemuseum.com Posted August 7, 2019 Share #14 Posted August 7, 2019 Very nice. I have not seen the qualification card before. All the wings look great with the one exception of the Angus & Coote. I believe that is a modern, laser die restrike. Sorry. Please read this thread for more info: http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/237921-how-to-spot-angus-and-coote-true-wings/?hl=angus Cheers, Tod
