kfields Posted July 30, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 30, 2019 Or is the "folk art" effort just a random cool design? These grips (same on both sides) are found on a Japanese Type 94 late war pistol now in my possession. I've attempted to crop out the pistol since the pistol itself isn't U.S. Military but the grips might represent a unit. Thanks! Kim
easterneagle87 Posted July 30, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 30, 2019 Maybe just something someone added when they got home to make it more personalized, rather than a unit marking. Just like "sporterizing" Ariska's and K98's to give them a better feel or performance. Just my 2 cents. It is pretty though.

There were some units that have used the ace of spades I still think its just a personal preference. The ace of spades also represents the death card.
