Just heard the Frenchman - Doug LeTorneau passed away.

He was a legend in the SOG community.

The Frenchman was a super cool guy and always looked forward to seeing him at the SOS. He was always smiling and also looking for Owen so they could mess with each other.

My favorite story was one of the first times I met Doug. He came to the SOS with Tilt, and they were signing books. I believe Jason Hardy invited them. Well we were all in my suite at the hotel and we have the doors to the hallway open and its pretty loud. Doug is telling all kinds of war stories, all the collectors were sitting on the edge of their seats listening to him, Owen was actually quite for once, . The longer the stories go the louder Doug got. Finally Tilt leans over to me and says he is surprised no one on our floor has called and complained about the noise as it was getting very late. I replied " You guys are talking about people you killed and laughing about it, do you think anyone is going to complain?". He replied, " Good Point".

Will miss seeing the Frenchman every Feb........

Heard the news this morning. Sat with Doug at a couple of SOARs and traded some emails and phone calls.

He was quite a character and was always willing to share stories.

Condolences to his friends and family.

RIP, Doug.

First and foremost, RIP Warrior.

While I have not listened to it, it appears that Jocko did a podcast with him last week.

This is sad news. I also had the honor to meet Doug a few times at the SoS.

Condolences to his SOG brothers, friends and family.

RIP Doug.
