Typically, US made crests aren't overly rare. What makes the desirable is the type of unit and the design. If they are WWII and are made out of sterling silver, or plastic, they are going to be worth a lot more.

 

I would hazard a guess that your DUI is worth around $10 to $15.

Your DI is a post 1954 one, D2, code for A.H. Dondero, DI probably adopted in the early 50s, if this design was worn in WWII it would of been unauthorized and worn in the summer of 45. Can not find any info as to if the unit was active in the 50s.
