Salvage Sailor

187th Infantry Regiment

 

85th AAA Battalion

 

109th Engineering Battalion

 

and an interesting one.....yet to be ID'd

The blue/white with red dagger is 187th Airborne Korean era. Would love to find one!

Here's the early 187th Airborne DIs in Action.

 

The Late Gerard Devlin, Korea and Vietnam Combat Infantryman (2nd Award Combat Infantrymen's Badge), and Military History Author, in this superb photo of him when he was a young vet, and still an EM (He would later gain a Commission). Photo would date we should say sometime in 1952 before the Infantry Blue Distinctives came out in August of that year, and probaly taken n Japan after the 187th Regimental Combat Team is withdrawn from combat and sent to Japan as a Reserve.
