Next:

Uniform of Maj. Gen. Brooke E. Allen. He was one of two B-17 pilots to successfully take off from Hickam Field on Pearl Harbor during the attack. He was awarded a Distinguished Service Cross as a B-17 commander at Midway and a Silver Star as the same at Truk in 1943. Note that all of the insignia is directly embroidered to the uniform, to include the ribbons. Came with a very heavy (5+ lbs!) foreign gift plaque from the 1950's.

I am not the owner of this uniform, but I believe this uniform is noteworthy of posting in this thread. This uniform belonged to Major General Franklin A. Nichols. He was an Ace in WWII, PTO. This uniform is on display at the War Eagles Air Museum in Santa Teresa, NM. The ribbons are very impressive. I really like the bullion airborne wings.
