Pep Posted July 26, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted July 26, 2019 I would like to know if I should remove the hook and return the hanger to its original shape. Any opinions?
robinb Posted July 26, 2019 Share #6 Posted July 26, 2019 I would leave it as it is.
bheskett Posted July 26, 2019 Share #7 Posted July 26, 2019 I am liking the modification of the hook. Does the hook look to be period or added years later? It looks like the shoulder strap hook from an M1910 haversack strap. If you decide to restore it to the original shape it may look all bent up and wonky when you finish so be careful if you do. Pep Posted July 28, 2019 Author Share #10 Posted July 28, 2019 Well sounds like the consensus is to leave it so it will be left. Thanks all...
Ronnie Posted July 29, 2019 Share #11 Posted July 29, 2019 Yes leave it as it is. That is a very cool modification. Ronnie
robinb Posted July 29, 2019 Share #12 Posted July 29, 2019 And chances are that rebending the wire hook would break it. You'd be kicking yourself for a long time if that happened.
