Need Help With Uniform ID

Can someone tell me what period this uniform is from and what it is.Thanks for looking and your thoughts.Scotty PS the actual color on the uniform is red not the orange.

John Langellier's book, More Army Blue, identifies this as the 1885 pattern (page 197). Given what I read through, the white piping on the red cuffs and collar indicate this is Engineer branch and not Artillery like I first thought. Pretty cool uniform!


WANTED: I collect materials of any age related to the US Army Quartermaster Corps and from the long-defunct Commissary / Subsistence Corps. Anything goes and it doesn't have to be identified to a vet. If it's weird or unusual, please PM me! ASMIC #5650
