The star appearing above hammer and sickle, often or usually symbolizes the USSR Communist Party. I saw it on ebay. What stuck out is the white stitching, and the small square folding impressions. The type of material, as you can see from the last photo, looks like the dyed type made in vietnam. But Im not an expert. I have a hammer and sickle VN flag, but it lacks the star and is sewn in the middle of the flag. This one looks like a personalized flag that you can carry in your pack. Also, it was not made to be flown, as many of the VN versions have a wider stitching on one side to have a post inserted. Just some observations I have.
