cutiger83 Posted July 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2019 I have loved reading all of the books by Adam Makos. This one is just as good as the others. The story follows the 3rd armored division. If you liked Makos other books then this one won't disappoint! Kat

Ant1942 Posted July 14, 2019 Share #7 Posted July 14, 2019 No problem, It was really an honor meeting hum and the other 3rd armor vet who also signed it as well. The other vet ended up in 4 Shermans total and talking to both was crazy regarding their actions.

Ant1942 Posted July 14, 2019 Share #9 Posted July 14, 2019 Joe should be easy to find at most book stores like Barnes and nobles, they tend to have a couple copies on hand most times
12A54 Posted July 14, 2019 Share #10 Posted July 14, 2019 As a retired tanker and history buff, I was enthralled by this book. Absolutely fantastic. Thanks for posting this - hope members take note and enjoy reading it. And, be sure to watch some actual combat footage of the central engagement described in the book - it’s on You Tube (search for tank battle Cologne). GIKyle Posted July 14, 2019 Share #11 Posted July 14, 2019 I agree this book was fantastic - a well written, easy read. You can find the film of the Cologne duel as well as the medics treating the car occupants on YouTube - I did not watch them until after I finished the book but found them described very well in print that reality was not far from my imagination. Thor996 Posted July 15, 2019 Share #13 Posted July 15, 2019 Had the pleasure of meeting Clarence and Adam at the new American Heritage museum in Stowe Massachusetts last December at the museum pre open. Was thrilled to get book plate signed by author and Clarence for pre ordered book and to meet and hear Clarence speak of his war time experiences. Great tank museum too. Book was fantastic. Jim Baker Posted September 18, 2019 Share #15 Posted September 18, 2019 Fantastic book! I couldn't put it down. Very well written and the subject was something I was familiar with as an armor buff. I've watched that video of the duel in Cologne more times than I can remember. After reading the book, it is so much more interesting to watch the video because you are seeing so many things in a new light. I don't want to give anything away, so get this one, it's great!
