917601 Posted July 13, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 13, 2019 I saw this one at a shop. I am not a helmet guy. The helmet was repainted a tannish brown over the original green , but, the brownish tan paint appears to be same era. The black doughnut and black spacers around the helmet liner appear to be black rubber. The liner is attached at the top by an unpainted rivet. I suspect the liner is not original to the pot. Also, the chin strap looks non military added on. What do I have here?

Nickman983 Posted July 13, 2019 Share #3 Posted July 13, 2019 I want to say it's either Canadian or British Brodie helmet
No Quarter Posted July 13, 2019 Share #4 Posted July 13, 2019 I agree, it looks like a Commonwealth helmet. Might be a British helmet painted for the North African campaign. Jacob
AustinO Posted July 13, 2019 Share #5 Posted July 13, 2019 it is overpriced for what it is, a WWII or later Commonwealth helmet.
Riflemen016 Posted July 14, 2019 Share #6 Posted July 14, 2019 The liner is the same as a Canadian mrk2 ww2 era
BOLO Posted July 16, 2019 Share #7 Posted July 16, 2019 looks like a helmet used by the IDF , they often recycled helmets and used a rivet like that to attach a liner, probably post WW2 use the chin strap also looks like what Ive seen on some Israeli used helmets
