Question about USMC Chevrons

Maybe a beginner's question but when did the Marine Corps go from the wool chevron to the embroidered ones on the green uniform? Could you expect to this style on a WW2 period jacket?

Not sure what the exact date on these were but you do see these on many late war Marine's uniforms. Guys getting out in late '45 to early '46. I believe these were used through the Korean war era too. Here are some 6th division uniforms in my collection that have the same chevrons.

I've only got 2 but my 1941-1942 quartermaster jacket has the wool and my 1944-1945 quartermaster has the nylon

This chevron is known as the Bevo weave style and was used later in WW2 and continued to see use through Korea.

I actually found an article in the September 1946 Leatherneck that notes that were adopted in that year.
