usmce4 Posted July 5, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 5, 2019 Hope this is not a major faux-pas to post on here, but no responses on "Is this real". As a newbie to wing collecting I am unsure what to make of these. I've got several H&H rank insignia, but they all have a stylized hallmark. I've never seen this H&H mark and was hoping someone could tell me if it's a good piece. Thanks
Brig Posted July 6, 2019 Share #2 Posted July 6, 2019 Eagle head is a known H&H marking... see post 21 in this topic http://www.usmilitariaforum.com/forums/index.php?/topic/18838-hilborn-hamburger-hh/ Granted, your is a bit different than the one pictured, but the mark is good. My guess is the H&H was put above the head rather than in it due to the smaller size used
mtnman Posted July 6, 2019 Share #3 Posted July 6, 2019 They are absolutely World War II and one of the very few examples of the Garrison cap Wings that I have ever seen by H & H. Show us a picture of the front if you would please.
