M1911A1 - Tom Weston miniature

Recommended Posts

Thought I would share this little gem with you folks... not sure if this is the right forum thread to post.
I don't think I have posted it here before.

The brass pistol is fairly small... about two inches long, and was most likely made by Tom Weston. Weston was well known for his miniatures made in Mexico City in the 1940s-1960s.

I relined a small walnut box and added a few goodies.

It is a pinfire... grip safety works, hammer cocks and the slide racks. The magazine is removable but serves no purpose. The loop on the back was probably for a watch fob.

Even though General Patton was a fan of the 1911, I don't think he would approve of the grips!

Thanks for looking.
