world war I nerd Posted July 4, 2019 Share #1 Posted July 4, 2019 Show the Flag Just in case you don’t already know, today is July 4th, which is otherwise known as Independence Day, a national holiday here in the USA. Despite what one manufacturer of athletic apparel may think, true patriots don’t really need a reason to show, and be proud of “Old Glory” - “The Stars & Stripes” - “The Star Spangled Banner”, or simply put, The American Flag. Therefore, today, the Fourth of July, is as good as any to start a topic on the American Flag in military service. So please post any images you may have of the American Flag in service on land, air and sea from its inception in 1776 through to today and beyond. My contribution, and the introduction to this topic will be ... the American Flag in service during the WW I era. Thanks for looking, and for posting ...
