Haha, Canada also has a prime minister and since I found this one here in Canada it might be Provost Marshall. Or maybe a slim chance it's navy; Photographers Mate? Nickman983 Posted June 30, 2019 Share #9 Posted June 30, 2019 Very nice. Really wish I had a decent surplus shop near me. Most of the ones in my area are really Army Navy stores that sell new clothing/supplies and like camping/survival gear

mikie Posted June 30, 2019 Share #15 Posted June 30, 2019 These ones are all front seam, mix of fixed bails and swivel bails Ok, I have a sore jaw from it dropping after seeing that picture! There was a store that has several 55 gallon drums filled with M1's for $5 each, near me. But it closed 30+ years ago and I haven't seen such a sight since! Burning Hazard Posted June 30, 2019 Author Share #17 Posted June 30, 2019 Cool helmet Pat! ....and nice stash you’ve found! Is that at the store in Inglewood (Crown Surplus) or that other one in NE Calgary? Rick Rick, it's the one in NE Calgary. Crown Surplus used to have a lot of M1's but now they shifted their focus on modern military, airsoft, camping, hiking and hipster fashion. I miss the old Crown Surplus... Burning Hazard Posted June 30, 2019 Author Share #18 Posted June 30, 2019 What are they charging for those helmets??? On average? The rear seams are $49 CAD per shell Front seams are $100 CAD per shell The more "premium" sets are $200 CAD Yea it's a bit pricey, I'm waiting for a better sale. The shells are all repainted, have euro parts and fixed bails have a repaired loop (soldered wires).
ccmax Posted July 3, 2019 Share #19 Posted July 3, 2019 It could also be immediate post war Italian, i.e., "Polizia Militare".
