katieony Posted June 26, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 26, 2019 Here is an interesting group photo of members of the 17th Field Artillery Bn., 2nd Division AEF Motor School that I thought I would share. The inscription on the reverse indicates the photo was taken on May 4, 1919.

dpast32 Posted June 27, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 27, 2019 Very nice, & somewhat uncommon 'school graduation' type photo. This was the U.S. Military's fledgling era with the use of motor transport. Best, dpast32
Allan H. Posted June 28, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 28, 2019 What a great photo! Thanks for sharing it! My grandfather, Laurence F. Kell, served in Battery A, 17th Field Artillery in WWI. He was an auto mechanic by trade. I wonder if he might have been one of the instructors? I'll bet he knew these guys and might even be one of them!
