How could you identify with the laundry id?

Thank you friends for your opinions!!! :)

The laundry number consists of the initial (first letter) of the soldier's last name and the last 4 digits of his army serial number (ASN).

Enter the laundry number in the website noted below will begin to help you narrow down who the soldier may be. Of course it it is not 100% definitive as some records have been lost but it will give you a start. Couple the information gained from that site with other references you stand a chance to find him.

Just type in M4165 and see what you get.

Thank you very much!!!

Is the system that assigns the laundry number the same for a soldier as for an officer?

The A2 market is a bit soft.

The price is too high for the condition.

I don’t think I could get more than 800 for it.

It’s rough and how fast can you sell it if you have to?

On the bright side, it might be worth it someday.

$800 quite frankly seems way too cheap, I got to shows all the time and there are never A2 jackets for that price. Its 8th AF which is a bonus and has research potential. eBay is a good guide to a point, but Ive seen great stuff that just because its over the 1K mark will sit.

I would easily pay $1200-1400 for it, its not beat up. Even though the markets not the same. Plain Janes are bringing $800 and more still. The price is fair Ive seen sellers ask way more for them. Its the not the 80s/90s boom where most of these went overseas, but I dont think the asking price is off. Not to mention no one is talking about selling it, its a keeper. The OP is not looking to flip but add an authentic example to his collection

Im not trying to be sarcastic but my point is what would you pay for it?

Or did you buy it for 1400?

I understand what youre saying, I dont think 1400 is unfair at all. The 2 others to post first thought the same. A2 are not getting more common and the 8th has historically been I hot unit. As I dealer if i saw this for $700-800 I would buy it to flip.

It would have to be even lower than that for me.

How many collectors want an A2 that tired looking for 1400?

I’m getting too old perhaps

hello for all

The final purchase price was $ 1000.

The jacket is in perfect condition, size 42 and the leather is flexible with the zipper works perfectly only
There is some moth damage on the cuffs and the waist band and a hole in the lining on the left chest.

I think it's a good purchase for my collection.

Regards.

Looking I found an airplane similar to the one painted on the jacket, could it belong to group 92 of the bombing?
