Like you said, it does appear to be an original production example, & could be displayed 'as is', & or could be repaired ? If you repair it, it will look "repaired" , so what's the sense? It's a piece of sub force history, just not one destined for use. I have one just like it that came in a small lot of sub insignia that's even more defiled...
