nlywhite Posted June 20, 2019 Share #1 Posted June 20, 2019 I have a family Spanish American War medal that has War With Spain 1898 with the castle on the front and United States Army For Service with the eagle on the back. The ribbon colors are red, yellow with the blue border. I believe these color would indicate that the medal is pre 1912 and after the ribbon color is yellow and blue. The number at the 6 o'clock postion is N o 3410. The family member is Fredrick R. Heath. A Fold3 search doesn't provide a service record for the Spanish American War. Ancestry does have service records from 1900-1912 at Ft. Barry California.
