The ASMIC Mottos List shows that motto for 4th Battalion, 525th MI Battalion. No further details.

Ive had enough of hunting. Im buying the asmic catalogs tonight.

A curious one, it's motto Delta Battalion and the Roman numeral IV indicate Vietnam, the Delta, being the Mekong Delta which was located in the IV Tactical Zone, plus it being a Beer Can, but no 525th MI Bn is listed in Stanton's Vietnam Order of Battle.

 

There was a 525th MI Grp, and interestingly has a DI shaped like this one, IE Triangle and scroll.

The ASMIC Mottoes List shows this motto as belonging to the 4th Battalion, 525th MI Group.

 

I would guess it was a locally produced variant of the approved insignia as shown by Patches.
