otter42 Posted June 17, 2019 Share #2 Posted June 17, 2019 Awesome! Thanks for sharing this, wasn't aware he received this award, and by President Reagan! Bet they are both having a great time together now.
Normandy1944 Posted June 17, 2019 Share #3 Posted June 17, 2019 Great! I didn't knew about this either. Maybe I'm going to use that citation in a Bible study or worship service at our church.
firefighter Posted June 17, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted June 17, 2019 Thanks guys. I was pretty surprised to find it where I did. I’m sure he wasn’t a fan of the National Enquirer.
aerialbridge Posted June 17, 2019 Share #5 Posted June 17, 2019 Thanks for posting. I saw him when he did his next to last crusade at the Rose Bowl in 2004. I wouldn't have passed up that opportunity to see and hear living history. His last crusade was the following year in NYC. It really was completing a circle. Most people would probably not associate Los Angeles with Billy Graham, but his first large crusade was in LA in 1949. It was definitely a softer and gentler, Billy Graham that I saw and heard 55 years after the crusade that solidified his national prominence. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VtHYDKdTMrw
