kammo-man Posted June 8, 2019 Share #10 Posted June 8, 2019 You are using an eBay term that was never used. Darwin unfortunately latched on to the same term. Very sad. You will find if you study this. If you don’t want to study then it’s posts like this that promote fantasy names Owen Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

vintageproductions Posted June 8, 2019 Share #12 Posted June 8, 2019 As Owen said it is a fantasy / made up nickname for this pattern. The term bloodcake sounds different in Vietnamese and it just refers to the colors used. This is a name one certain dealer called it, and everyone thought it was a cool name. This pattern, and this has been discussed on here numerous times, has various names, bullet proof, pinks, sausage, airborne advisor, blood cake, etc. The accepted name is windproof, as it doesn't seem to take much to look at it and see that it is a direct copy of the WWII British SAS Windproof pattern. This pattern along with the USMC frog skin were sent to the French and Vietnamese during the 50's and were then copied numerous times by local shops. vintageproductions Posted June 8, 2019 Share #13 Posted June 8, 2019 As said earlier this is a very desirable pattern that most collectors don't own.
