gwb123 Posted June 2, 2019 Share #4 Posted June 2, 2019 Excellent. Can you make out what is written on the nametag on the work man in the front of the line? His haircut and style reminds me of my grandfather's, who would have been roughly the same age.
BILL THE PATCH Posted June 2, 2019 Author Share #5 Posted June 2, 2019 It says Westchester lighting company. Might be New York. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
gwb123 Posted June 2, 2019 Share #6 Posted June 2, 2019 I am willing to bet that the two men in suits were probably executives from the same company. There's a good chance this was part of a company bond drive showing how workers and management united to support the war effort. You might find some of the old ads from the company interesting. I can't seem to find much else on the internet about the company history. https://www.tapatalk.com/groups/soyosunset/old-ads-45-south-broadway-westchester-lighting-com-t2688.html I am not sure, but the company may have been later absorbed into Con Edison. BILL THE PATCH Posted June 2, 2019 Author Share #7 Posted June 2, 2019 That may be possible, con Edison has been around for ever. Sent from my Moto G (5) Plus using Tapatalk
