325th GIR Market Garden Framed Display

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I thought this forum might enjoy this display. I think it turned out really well! This frame holds a grouping from Walter Silkiewicz of the 325th GIR. I added the Invasion armband and the Glider Cap Patch just for display purposes. I was having trouble trying to figure out how to make the small items stay in the frame without falling. A light bulb went off in my head and since I used to collect baseball cards as a kid I had a bunch of cheap plastic card sleeves laying around. I thought someone could use this trick in the future because you obviously dont want to use tape. Im also going to look for a big enough parachute piece to cover the background. I hope you guys enjoy seeing this!

Nice looking display! I think the added parachute piece for the background will really make everything stand out nicely. Good job!

Looking for anything related to WWII ETO gliders and pilots, uniforms, photos, etc. I am also looking for 8th AF B-17 crew uniforms and gear.

Thanks! Im still thinking of more items to add into the display. The camo is certainly on the top of my list!
