Did anyone see this awful looking fake 462nd PIR that is setting at 500.00 dollars with 2 hour to go on Ebay.The number is 173899338396 someone due to their lack of Books and the US Military Forum is getting an expensive lesson.Scotty

Classic fake like many of the AAF squadron fakes. Thin, flimsy wool (versus plush Aussie-like), with gauze back. Rough, sloppy embroidery with characteristic "spider web" appearance on back. Diagonal stitching forming the red border another tell.

I've got the same one and I bought it in France a five years ago.I was told it's a fake made in Britain.The good thing in the one that I have is that I "only" paid $70 but it's hard

if you get fooled and burn $ 500.
