manayunkman Posted May 17, 2019 Share #5 Posted May 17, 2019 I was looking at that one. It even has what appears to be a moth track.
ocsfollowme Posted May 17, 2019 Share #6 Posted May 17, 2019 looks like an Andrew Butler copy +1 old_club_badges This is his current 462nd but he makes them in batches. The original patch looks like many of his squadron patches https://www.ebay.com/itm/LARGE-462ND-AIRBORNE-PARACHUTE-FIELD-ARTILLERY-REGIMENT-JACKET-PATCH-BADGE-/162323122268

walika Posted May 17, 2019 Share #10 Posted May 17, 2019 Classic fake like many of the AAF squadron fakes. Thin, flimsy wool (versus plush Aussie-like), with gauze back. Rough, sloppy embroidery with characteristic "spider web" appearance on back. Diagonal stitching forming the red border another tell.

doughboy Posted May 17, 2019 Share #12 Posted May 17, 2019 I've got the same one and I bought it in France a five years ago.I was told it's a fake made in Britain. The good thing in the one that I have is that I "only" paid $70 but it's hard if you get fooled and burn $ 500.
