It's been a pretty good month so far, with several good walk-in donations. This afternoon when I got in I found a pile (literally a pile) of WWII uniforms and gear a family had dropped off; they belonged to their father who served in the Signal Corps in WWII, entirely at Fort Monmouth. I'll post photos of the group later on after I have a chance to dig through it all...he served in the Red Cross at the start of the war, and wore his RC service ribbon on his Army uniform...AND he kept every scrap of paper associated with his service time, to include his complete 201 file - research time will be zero. These are the best part of the group (I think anyway)...they're a little dirty, but still in good condition...the zipper glides like it was new. The cuffs have the metal 13-star buttons, AND the suspenders are still inside. The brown side has the small light olive reenforcement square. No manufacturer's tag unfortunately but that's pretty minor considering.
