WW2 CB patch?

Can anyone tell me if the CBs used this type of CB cuff patch in WW2 or was it postwar?

Navy personnel bulletin from May 1943 illustrates the CB distinguishing mark, to be worn on the sleeve with the rating badge. Another article from Nov 1944 noted that the new SEABEE shoulder patch would replace the CB distinguishing mark as soon as it could be distributed..

That mark was WW2 only, authorized in 1942 and replaced with the fighting bee patch in 1944.

Was there a period when the CB and the fighting bee patch were both on a single tunic, or would it always have been one or the other?

. It was not uncommon to see both on the same jumper. Simply because the Sailor got the shoulder patch and didnt bother to remove the old one.

You will also see 2 Amphibious forces or Mine Craft patches on the same jumper. The first batch of Special insignia was worn on the forearm of the jumper, as was traditional with the Navy. Then they switched to Shoulder insignia mid war. Many guys who had the early insignia, left it on as a symbol of their Saltyness.
