Major General Hank "Gunfigher" Emerson, commander of the 2nd Infantry Division, with NFL player Rocky Bleier (Steelers) who is visiting 2ID troops in South Korea in 1975. It looks like the general's "leadership tabs" are actually embroidered on his jacket along with his rank insignia.

Colonel Carroll Edward Adams Jr. C.O. of the 937th Engineer Group 18th Engineer Brigade wearing the Lops with the 937th Engineer Group DI, this DI evidently a large sized one as we see. Colonel Adams was Killed in the same helicopter with Major General John Dillard C.O. of Engineer Command Vietnam when it was shot down over the Central Highlands, Adams was posthumously promoted to Brigadier General.

The Red of the Artillery, here an Infantry 2nd Lieutenant named Robert Brown at Ft Sill Oklahoma in 1968. We suspect Brown, the Shavetail was assigned to the Arty School as a unit leader, despite him being Infantry, not 100 % sure but he may have served later with the 101 in South Vienam in 1970-71.

Leadership stripes and overseas bars worn on a tanker jacket in World War II. The source where I found these photos indicates the sergeant was assigned to the 6th Mechanized Cavalry Group.

Embroidered on Wool, 31st Infantry Regiment Green Leadership Loops that look to be Korean Made. The bear looks like a squirrel or a chip monk.

Leadership tabs worn with Instructor Personnel DUI's by a drill sergeant at Fort Ord, California in 1976. Notice he is wearing the Infantry blue shoulder cord and the Infantry disc backings behind his collar insignia, but not behind his hat insignia.

Id like to contribute the Ike jacket of sergeant Christian Hansen to the thread, I have been told seeing the combat leader stripe is rarely seen in PTO uniforms.

85th Infantry, German made with out a doubt, as seen in that topic on embroidered DIs on Green loops. Saites was by the way the one time skipper of How Co, 85th Infantry when it was in West Germany, maybe a little earlier at Riley, circa 1955-56.

He also was a Prisoner of the Germans  in WWII, no date of capture or unit given unfortunately.

Future Retroactive Medal of Honor recipient Major Charles Kettles in 1969 as C.O. 121st Aviation Company 13th Aviation Battalion wearing the Green Loops. Kettles was earlier in 1967 in the 176th Aviation Company 14th Aviation Battalion when he performed the actions that would see him awarded the MOH. The 176th Aviation Company  I believe was attached to the 1st Brigade 101st Airborne Division when it was a part of Task Force Oregon.

Officer candidate wearing Armor/Cavalry yellow tabs and bib circa 1967/1968. I can't ID the DUI, but it looks like the 14th Armored Cavalry Regiment.
